TITLE: Construction Manager

SHIFT: Days, Monday-Friday with some weekend jobs
REPORTS TO: Senior QC Manager
MISSION: We need a Construction Manager to join our team and help us manage our jobs! We are seeking someone who can manage the quality, safety, and productivity phases of all the field activities. Maintain a safe, OSHA compliant work site. Effectively manage all labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors on each project. You will be charged with meeting all quality, safety, and productivity objectives, ensuring our jobs get completed to our high standard on or under budget, and (most importantly) that all our team members get home safely every day.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Staff & safety management: Manage field supervisors, crew assignments, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors on each assigned project. Establish daily production objectives and provide goals to crew members. Supervise project safety and oversee subcontractor’s quality of work to Kairos Roofing standards, including overseeing completion of work (no temporary work is permitted), inspecting tie-ins and returns, maintain correct company image on all jobsites (including apparel), and enforcing housekeeping at the job site.
- Site management: Conduct thorough pre-damage, city, and manufacturer inspections for all assigned projects, and document all details in electronic project folder. Work with Administrative Coordinator to ensure Job Progress reports are completed as required by the project. Responsible for onsite communication with GC and city inspectors and daily communication and updates with clients and office. Maintain daily inventory of materials and Kairos Roofing equipment and provide required pictures and videos of project’s progress. Responsible for Kairos Roofing equipment maintenance and validating the correct supplies are on hand. Oversee crews to ensure proper usage and maintenance of company equipment.
- Experience needed: Minimum three years’ experience in the construction industry, and minimum one-year experience in a management/supervisory role. Must be great at math and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing and able to ascend ladders and use other means to access roofs, work at heights, and variable slopes.
- Must be able to safely drive, climb ladders, and walk on roofs. Must be able to pass fleet insurance requirements, background check, and pre-hire drug screen.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
